BDMS’ Bangkok Hospital and Samitivej Hospital, win 8 Global Health and Travel Awards for the third consecutive year




          For the third consecutive year, Bangkok Hospital and Samitivej Hospital, members of Bangkok Dusit Medical Services (BDMS), won 8 Global Health and Travel Awards (GHT Awards), at the 2018 Asia Pacific Healthcare & Medical Tourism Summit, the leading healthcare podium, which is a collaboration between Global Health & Travel and AB Bernstein.
          Mr. Buranut Limjitti, Senior Vice President of International Marketing, Advertising & PR, BDMS, revealed after his speech at the premier healthcare gathering held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, that Bangkok Hospital won 5 awards, including Hospital of The Year in Asia Pacific 2018, Hospital of The Year Thailand 2018, Orthopaedic Service Provider of The Year in Asia Pacific 2018, Transplant Service Provider of The Year in Asia Pacific 2018 and Neurology Service Provider of The Year in Asia Pacific 2018, and Samitivej Hospital won 3 awards, which are Paediatric Service Provider of The Year in Asia Pacific 2018, Cosmetic Surgery Provider of The Year in Asia Pacific 2018, Gastroenterology Service Provider of the Year in Asia Pacific 2018.
          Nisarat Jaidee, M.D., Samitivej Referral & Assistance Center Director and Assistant Hospital Director, Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital, said that it was an honour to win this award, which recognized the hospital that maintained consistently high standards. These awards emphasized the hospital's outstanding performance in terms of initiatives that can improve the way healthcare is delivered through areas such as leadership, technological innovation, personnel and customer service.
          Asawin Puwatanasan, M.D., Assistant Hospital Director, Bangkok Hospital, revealed that Bangkok Hospital committed to improve the standard of healthcare and customer value through all aspects, including; technological clinical innovation, specialist recruitment and development, research and development, networking and co-program with leading hospitals/ institute globally, as well as customer service, which resulted in the recognition by global institutes. 
          Buranut concluded that hospitals in BDMS network, including: Bangkok Hospitals, Samitivej Hospitals and Phyathai Hospitals, provided world class patients services ranging from primary preventative to super tertiary care. With the reputation, expertise, accomplishment and credibility of BDMS' Centers of Excellence Network, the number of domestic and international patients has increased continuously. BDMS committed to improve the capability of all 45 hospitals and medical facilities to be able to provide the world class professional quality service throughout the network.
